PAYDAY 3 disturbing!

PAYDAY 3 тревожит!

PAYDAY 3 will have a lot more in common with PayDay The Heist than it did with PayDay 2

The developers from Starbreeze Studios have been actively keeping a diary and publishing video reports. From these diaries, we learned that the root gameplay of the threequel will not bring huge innovations to the series. If we describe PayDay 3 in three words, it's not a "New word of the genre", but a "Work on mistakes". But is it all that good? Let's break it down:

  • Heists - Eight heists will be available at launch, half of which can be done silently. Unfortunately, the developers haven't given up the idea of selling the ability to become a host without purchased heist DLC.
  • Silent Passage - From now on, every silent case will consist of at least three stages and will resemble scenes from Hollywood action movies like Mission Impossible. It was similar in the original PayDay The Heist, but soon the idea was buried under the crowd of identical heists in PayDay 2. The third installment will bring back the original's MO. Whether the high bar of production will last is unknown.
  • Upgrading - In the manner of PayDay The Heist, weapons will have ready-made presets at once, but it was decided not to abandon the customization of the second part. Roughly speaking, players will not get lost in the dodgers, as it happened in the second part, in the third part. All weapons will be upgraded as they are used: if you use shotgun, you will upgrade shotgun, if you prefer sniper gameplay, bolt-action rifle will become more effective over time.
  • Difficulty - There will be no 7 difficulty levels as there were in the second part. PayDay 3 will have only 4 difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Overkill. The difficulty level will not affect the health points of enemies and the number of policemen on the map, but will affect primarily the level of artificial intelligence. In PayDay 2, about 80% of weapons on high difficulties were too weak. In the third part they tried to get rid of this problem.
  • Skills - Skill progression will look a lot like the balance of the second part.
  • Microtransactions - The most disturbing thing about microtransactions is that they will 100% remain. And their vile concept will remain intact: players will still be sold DLC with the strongest weapons, cosmetics, loot, and vital perks.
